Figure Eight Island

The tranquil and private Figure Eight Island is only accessible to approximately 470 island landowners and their guests via a guard-operated swing drawbridge that crosses the Intracoastal Waterway.  The majestic island is known for its natural beauty, secluded beaches, and traffic-free roads.  It is the low-key nature of the island that appeals to both residents and visitors alike.  Much of beautiful Figure Eight Island was once isolated and uninhabited.  For years, the only residents were maritime wildlife and wild horses who roamed the sandy dunes of this barrier island.

The island's name reflects the winding creeks of the expansive marshes, which separate the island from the Intracoastal Waterway and mainland. The beautiful white sandy beach with crystal-clear waters is a breath-taking sight to behold.  The area surrounding the beach has tidal flats that are perfect for swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, or stand-up-paddleboarding. Once you cross the bridge, the rest of the world melts away as you enter the paradise that is Figure Eight Island.
